The most important fundamental metric to look at right now to assess progress in the cryptocurrency industry is the amount of ETH locked in decentralized finance projects. That number is likely to continue grow quickly with live projects like MakerDAO, dYdX, and Augur improving and new products like Vest launching in the near future.
Despite public market prices being down, we think this metric is one of many reasons to be optimistic about the future.
